Cruisin for a Cure
Saturday, June 8th--Cruisin For a Cure. Relay for Life will be holding a cruise night at George Farish Collision Center (the old Don Comer Ford building) from 5pm-8pm. Food and music! Door prizes! Antique, Classic, Street Rods, Rat Rods, Muscle, Tuners, Motorcycles and Trucks! All are welcome. Come hang out and enjoy great cars for a good cause. $5 donation for vehicles to enter.

Portsmouth Relay for Life
Saturday, June 22nd--Portsmouth Relay for Life starting at 12 pm and ending Sunday June 23, at 5 am. Help us celebrate life and remember those that have passed away from cancer. This is a fun filled public event with music performed by local bands, schools, churches,and other entertainment groups. There will be food , children's activities, and many items for sale. You do not want to miss the biggest over night celebration in Portsmouth! A FEW HIGHLIGHTS OF THE EVENING: Mayor Kenny Wright and Rev. Tom Potter will lead the ceremonies at 12pm. There will be a Celebration of Life ceremony at 4pm for cancer survivors and a free dinner reception for the registered cancer survivors at 5pm. We are planning to have the LARGEST Harlem Shake at 7pm . T-shirts will be sold to those who would like to participate. The Luminary ceremony will take place at 9 pm and the names of our loved ones will be read by Wynn Evers.

Sunday, July 7th--Join us for the Sunny Day 5k/1k Fun Run-Walk on as we seek to make the future brighter for children living in poverty. 100% of the proceeds of this event will go directly to our preschool scholarship fund. Studies show that for every dollar we invest in early childhood education for at-risk kids, society reaps $8 in return. Beach Gathering Montessori Preschool is a faith-based Montessori school for 2-5 year olds that will open in the fall of 2013.
