Join 92.9 The Wave on Saturday, September 11, 2010 with CHIP of Chesapeake for the 2010 Chesapeake Rubber Duck Race at the Intracoastal Waterway at Great Bridge from 10AM -3PM. From music to food to balloon animals and face painting to a bounce house and more, there’s something for everyone in the family! The Morning Wave’s Jennifer Roberts will be reading ‘The Little Red Cowboy Hat” to the kids from 1PM-1:30PM. Ducks are available for adoption at official duck adoption locations throughout Chesapeake, by phone at (757) 543-9100, and on-site at the race location Friday, Sept. 10, from 9AM–2PM and on Saturday, Sept. 11, race day, starting at 10AM.
The owner of the winning duck will receive is a 2010 Nissan Versa, courtesy of Nissan of Chesapeake. Cash prizes too! All proceeds from the 2010 Chesapeake Rubber Duck Race benefit CHIP of Chesapeake. CHIP is a 501(c)(3) non-profit agency that provides a continuum of services to families with children, prenatal through age 6, to help all children have a happy, healthy start in life and enter school ready to learn and succeed.
