Audi delivered on their promise to give Wheel of Fortune contestant Charlene Rubush a new car, following her controversial loss on the show in December.
Rubush gave the correct answer to the puzzle but a long pause in her response caused host Pat Sajak to rule it incorrect.
“This one’s tough, because you said all the right words, including the word ‘word,’ but, as you know, it’s gotta be more or less continuous,” he said. “We’ll allow for a little pause, but not four or five seconds.”
Fans rallied around the contestant and Audi promised to give her a prize despite her loss.
Audi’s official Twitter account updated fans on Thursday revealing that Rubush was gifted an Audi Q3.
“Charlene, welcome to the Audi family!” the tweet said. “We are so happy to see you in the driver seat.”
