Say hello to Maeve—a little Bulldog with a lot of sass, sweetness, and spirit! She’s the kind of dog who lights up a room the moment she struts in, and her goofy, playful energy is impossible to resist. It’s easy to see why Maeve has quickly become a favorite at Virginia Beach SPCA.
Why Maeve is One of a Kind
Like many Bulldogs, Maeve comes with her own set of special needs. She’s been diagnosed with Brachycephalic Obstructive Airway Disease, which means her adorable flat face makes breathing a little trickier, especially in heat or stressful situations. That’s why Maeve needs an adopter with experience caring for brachycephalic breeds—someone who understands her quirks and is prepared to help her thrive.
Maeve is also a foodie at heart (snacks are her love language 💕), but she’s had a history of GI issues, so her adopter will need to take things slow with new foods and treats. Consistency with potty training and crate training will also help her settle into her new home.
And because of her spinal structure, Maeve may need joint supplements down the road to keep her zoomies strong and pain-free. But don’t let these details scare you—what Maeve needs most is love, patience, and a family who will cheer her on every step of the way.
