Meet Hallzy, our Pet of the Week at Norfolk Animal Care Center.
Hallzy is a 2-year-old sweetheart who is feeling a bit shy and overwhelmed in the shelter environment. What she really needs is a loving, patient family who will give her the time and space to adjust and build confidence.
In her previous foster home, Hallzy was described as playful, curious, and talkative, but also shy and a little nervous at first. Once she gets to know you, her friendly personality shines through. She enjoys attention on her terms and isn’t a fan of being picked up… this girl has boundaries, and she’s not afraid to set them.
At 2 years old, Hallzy is past the kitten chaos and already litter box trained, making her more than ready to settle into a home of her own.
And speaking of kittens, kitten season is right around the corner, and Norfolk Animal Care Center needs your help!
Join NACC this Saturday for their “Meower Shower” at Afterglow Brewing from 12–4 PM. This fun, family-friendly event is a great way to support the shelter during one of its busiest times of year. You can learn all about caring for kittens, sign up to become a foster, and discover other ways to get involved.
Not ready to foster? You can still make a difference by donating much-needed funds and foster supplies.
