JISOO is stepping into a new cinematic role through a four-part short film series created for Self-Portrait. The project, titled Portraits of a Screen Star, was filmed in Seoul and introduces the BLACKPINK member as four different characters, each with its own mood and visual identity.
The fashion house announced the series as a character-driven campaign built around performance, styling and personality. Its first installment, The Enigma, presents JISOO in an audition-style setting, where she shifts between playful, composed and mysterious expressions while wearing pieces from the latest collection.
The series continues JISOO’s ongoing relationship with Self-Portrait. She became the first musician to front a campaign for the London-based label in 2024, marking a new chapter for the brand’s celebrity partnerships.
Each short film is designed to reveal a different side of JISOO’s screen presence, using fashion as part of the storytelling rather than simply as a backdrop. Additional episodes will expand on the concept with new characters and settings.
