Did this Wheel of Fortune contestant make the worst guess ever?
We’ve all seen some cringe-worthy moments on Wheel of Fortune, but Monday’s episode may have set a new standard. During the puzzle, “Give yourself a round of applause,” a contestant named Will Jordan made a guess that left everyone stunned. With most of the letters filled in, the answer seemed pretty obvious, but Will confidently guessed, “Treat yourself a round of sausage.”
Yes, you read that right—a round of sausage!
The next contestant quickly solved the puzzle correctly, but host Ryan Seacrest couldn’t help but joke, “Although, Will, I kind of like yours better.”
In a post-show interview with Wheel’s social correspondent Maggie Sajak, Will shared what went wrong. “I tell you, when the lights are on, and you know, the stars and Ryan Seacrest, Vanna White… I just went blank,” he explained. Will added that if his dad, retired and watching at home with a beer, got a good laugh out of it, then it was worth it.
