In a new interview with GQ, Travis Kelce opens up about his relationship with Taylor Swift, insising they’re “just like any normal couple.”

The Kansas City Chiefs player told the outlet, ““Whenever I’m with her, it feels like we’re just regular people. When there is not a camera on us, we’re just two people that are in love. We are two fun-loving people who have the morals to appreciate everyone for who they are. We share all those values. It kind of just took off. Nowadays, I just want to be respected and loved by the people that I’m surrounded by in my work. I want to leave it better than where it was when I started. And I see her having those same values.”
Travis says he’s proud to be her plus-one at concerts because he’s a genuine fan of music and art. And in return, Taylor shows up for him on game day—something that’s taken her from casual watcher to “most engulfed fan,” complete with knowledge of injury reports and game-day strategy.
Kelce admits they’ve bonded over the shared realities of fame and the toll their jobs take physically. “She may not think of herself as an athlete,” he says, “but I’ve seen what she goes through… the amount of work she puts on her body, and it’s mind-blowing.”
If you can’t get enough of the NFL-meets-pop-superstar romance, you’re in luck—Taylor will be the special guest on the Kelce brothers’ New Heights podcast tonight at 7 p.m. ET.
