12 days of marriage sounds pretty bad, but for bombshell-turned-activist Pamela Anderson, it was made even worse because she was broken up with over text.

Movie producer Jon Peters and Anderson married on January 20 at Shutters on the Beach hotel in Santa Monica, California. Shortly after, an insider says that after the wedding, the couple stayed at Peters’ house until Jan. 24, heading to Canada at that time. After flying back to LA on the 29th and on Jan. 30th, Peters send the break up text.

Allegedly the text describes the “beautiful amazing love fest” but ultimately “This whole marriage thing … has scared me.” He goes on to say:

“It made me realize that at 74 I need a simple quiet life and not an international love affair. Therefore, I think the best thing we can do is that I’m going to go away for a couple of days and maybe you need to go back up to Canada we did it. The world knows we did it and I think now we need to go our own separate ways. I hope that you can forgive me.”

Pam sent a simple response: a face-throwing-a-kiss emoji and “I forgive you.”

According to a source at US Weekly, the main factor for the break up was money, “Jon has spent his lifetime producing movies and has amassed a sizable fortune, which is for his kids. He realized that marrying Pam could affect that and there was no way he was prepared to take that risk.”
