“The Price Is Right” Halts Taping After Ex–Fiancee’s Murder

“The Price Is Right” is on a brief production hiatus after the shocking murder of host Drew Carey’s Ex-Fiancee, Dr. Amie Harwick.

Hardwick, a well-known Hollywood therapist, was found unresponsive on the ground beneath a third-story balcony of her Hollywood Hills home. She was pronounced dead at the hospital. There were signs of forced entry into the home and her ex-boyfriend, Gareth Pursehouse, is a suspect in her murder.

Audience members received an email on Monday about the cancellations for tapings being held on Tuesday and Wednesday. Drew Carey also released a statement:

“Amie and I had a love that people are lucky to have once in a lifetime. She was a positive force in the world, a tireless and unapologetic champion for women, and passionate about her work as a therapist. I am overcome with grief.”

Our condolences are with Carey and Hardwick’s family and friends.
