As his fight with pancreatic cancer continues, Alex Trebek is finding ways to inspire and spread a message of hope.

On Tuesday, the Jeopardy! host announced that he has a memoir written that is titled The Answer Is…: Reflections on My Lif and that it’ll be released by Simon & Schuster on July 21.

The game show host has been asked to write a memoir for years, but after his cancer diagnosis and the outpouring of support from fans, he was moved to share his story.

Trebek, 79, writes, “ “I want people to know a little more about the person they have been cheering on for the past year.”

In the memoir, he shares personal anecdotes and shares his thoughts on a myriad of topics including marriage, fatherhood and spirituality. Taking a note from his legendary show, each chapter title is in the form of a question. He also answers popular questions that viewers have, including why he shaved his mustache and how he feels about Will Ferrell’s impersonation of him on SNL. The book will also include some previously unpublished photos.
