Tome Cruise is heading to space! The actor is confirmed to film a movie on the International Space Station, according to a NASA administrator.
On Tuesday, NASA administrator Jim Bridenstine said on Twitter,
“ NASA is excited to work with @TomCruise on a film aboard the @Space_Station. We need popular media to inspire a new generation of engineers and scientists to make @NASA’s ambitious plans a reality.”
This news comes after Deadline reported that Cruise and Elon Musk’s SpaceX were in the early stages of planning an action-adventure movie in partnership with NASA.
It’s not clear if there is a plot for the movie, but it’s not a “Mission: Impossible” film. As you may know, production on “M:I 7 and 8” was recently halted due to the coronavirus pandemic.
