Duck Dynasty Star Phil Robertson introduced his long lost daughter to the world on Sunday’s episode of the Unashamed podcast.

Last week, the family shared the news that discovered that the family patriarch had a unknown child after Phyllis came to the family and had a DNA test match.

Phyllis, 45, said that she first found out that she had a different father was when her son took a commercial DNA test to trace their ancestry. When it came back different than what they were told. Her siblings got a DNA test, along with Phyllis, and found that Phyllis was their half sister.

Phyllis says, “ A little digging, internet searches, looking through the site, and put together a family tree, so to speak. My husband helped me with it. We filled in a lot of blanks.” She narrowed her search with more digging and thought to herself, I think I know who this might be.”

She met Phil after a service at his church and when the two met for the first time, Phil told her, “Girl, you’re the best thing that ever came out of my past.”

Before the podcast ended, Phil did point out the similar name his daughter has saying, What’s interesting to me is that your mother named you, not telling you who your father is, but named you Phyllis.”

Phil added, “Phyllis, all I can tell you is, I’m glad you found me. I’m glad I found you. All I have to say is, welcome aboard.”
