Fans are mourning the loss of Regis Philbin by sharing one of the most iconic moments of his career. During his stint as host of “Who Wants To Be a Millionaire” in 1999, John Carpenter, from Connecticut was about to win $1 million dollars.
He opted to phone a friend on his final question but it turned out, he didn’t need a friend’s help at all.
