Murphy, a 12-week-old Labrador Retriever is the newest member of the Norfolk Police Department.

Sgt. Rich Creamer picked up his new partner Murphy aka “Murph” from Mutts With A Mission on Friday. He will be training with Sgt. Creamer over the next two years to become the department’s second Assistance Dogs International certified facility dog.

The Norfolk Police Departement shared the news on Facebook saying, “During his training, Murphy will learn over 40 commands that will prepare to him to support the well-being of #NorfolksFinest…We are so happy and grateful to have Murphy join the NPD Family.”
