Ellen DeGeneres Announces She Tested Positive for COVID

Ellen DeGeneres has tested positive COVID-19. She announced the news in a statement on Thursday.

“Hi Everyone, I want to let you all know that I tested positive for Covid-19,” the talk show host, 62, wrote on Twitter. “Fortunately, I’m feeling fine right now. Anyone who has been in close contact with me has been notified, and I am following all proper CDC guidelines.”

“Please stay healthy and safe,” she concluded. “Love, Ellen.”

A spokesperson for her television show told PEOPLE on Thursday, “Following Ellen’s announcement this morning, we have paused production on the Ellen DeGeneres Show until January.”
