Newport News Public School Postpones In-Person Learning

Plans were set for Newport News Public School students to return on January 11 have been postponed. Using health metrics provided by the Peninsula Health District, the school division has announced the postponement of in-person learning due to the increase of COVID cases.
School offices will serve families and visitors by appointment only until further notice. Parents and guardians are asked to call the school office and schedule a time to visit as needed. All administrative offices will continue to serve walk-in visitors (though appointments are encouraged) while observing all CDC mitigation strategies. Visitors and staff must wear face masks and maintain a physical distance of six feet while at NNPS schools and offices.
