The last time The Weeknd performed “Save Your Tears” was at the 2020 American Music Awards when his entire face was mysteriously bandaged.

 

Now in the official music video for the song he’s still rocking the red suit but reveals what was under that signature After Hours “bandaged look” all along…a face full of plastic surgery.

Some fans think the video is a dig at the Grammy Awards.  At one point, he holds a gold trophy then throws it offstage into the wings.
