Aaron Rodgers made his debut as a guest of JEOPARDY! Monday, April 5th and he said he would love to make it a full-time gig. So what does that mean for his future in football?
Rodgers made an appearance on The Pat McAfee Show Monday and when McAfee asked if he wanted the job on a full-time basis he replied, “I would love to be the host of Jeopardy, yes.”
Rodgers is signed with Green Bay through 2023 with no guaranteed money left beyond this season.
However, in an interview with The Ringer, he said, “I don’t think I’d need to give up football to do i. They film 46 days a year. I worked 187 this year in Green Bay. That gives me, eh—[pauses]—178 days to do Jeopardy! So I feel like I could fit 46 into that 178 and make it work. It would be a dream job for sure, and I’m not shy at all about saying I want the job. That’s how I went into it. I want an opportunity to be in the mix.”
During his first appearance as host, Rodgers received good reviews from fans watching on Twitter.

But during Final Jeopardy, contestant Scott took an opportunity to troll him.
The Final Jeopardy! category was “Daytime TV Personalities.”
The answer: “Accepting a lifetime achievement Emmy, he said, ‘Just take … 10 seconds to think of the people who have helped you become who you are.”
Two-day champion Scott Shewfelt replied with, “Who wanted to kick that field goal?”
Rodgers responded, “That is a great question. Should be correct, but unfortunately for this game today it’s incorrect.”
