Camila Cabello’s Cinderella to Skip Theaters and Premiere on Amazon Prime Video

Camila Cabello’s retelling of Cinderella is skipping theaters and will instead, debut straight to Amazon Prime Video later this year.

According to Variety, the studio chose to license the movie to Amazon Prime because movie theater attendance hasn’t returned to pre-COVID-19 attendance.

The rest of the cast includes Idina Menzel, who plays Cinderella’s wicked stepmother, Billy Porter, as the fairy godmother,  Nicholas Galitzine as Prince Robert, Pierce Brosnan as King Rowan and Minnie Driver as Queen Beatrice.

A release date has not been announced but Sony Pictures originally set the film’s release date to be this July.
