Following the news that Ellen DeGeneres will end her daytime talk show, rumors began flying as to who could take over. #ReplacementsForEllen began trending on Twitter, with users suggesting their favorite comedians and actors.
According to Page Six, Tiffany Haddish is a front runner. The comedian has filled in for Ellen on several occasions, and a senior NBCUniversal source told the outlet, “Tiffany is a favorite… She’s top of the list to get a daytime show – she’s a fresh voice.”
Another favorite is Kelly Clarkson, whose own daytime talk show won three Daytime Emmys and recently matched DeGeneres’ ratings for the first time.
Fans offered up some more far-fetching suggestions though like lookalike Owen Wilson.
