Chris Hemsworth will dive with sharks in an hour-long special to kick off National Geographic’s “SharkFest”.
The special is set to air on July 5th and will focus on finding out how people and sharks can better live together, after Australia’s worst shark attack season in a century.
The hour-long documentary will have Chris diving with nurse sharks, meeting with experts and checking out the latest tech to prevent attacks.
Chris’ home country of Australia recently had one of the worst shark attack seasons in a century. He wants to find out how people and sharks can co-exist better.
“Sharkfest” will last for six weeks and include 21 hours of original content over four networks: National Geographic, Nat Geo WILD, Nat Geo Mundo, and Disney XD.
Disney + will also start offering fresh SharkFest content on July 9 — including the Disney+ original documentary Playing with Sharks on July 23.
