Val Kilmer Looks Back On His Career, Throat Cancer Battle In New Documentary {WATCH}

Amazon Prime unveiled the first trailer for “Val,” a documentary about Val Kilmer made by Val Kilmer on Tuesday, July 6th. In the first trailer, Amazon shared “Who is Val Kilmer? He’s Batman. He’s Iceman. He’s Jim Morrison. And he’s a lifelong filmmaker. Get re-acquainted with the legend on August 6.”
The documentary will show 40 years’ worth of behind-the-scenes videos from Kilmer’s films, including “Top Gun,” “Tombstone” and “Batman Forever.” The film also shares the emotional struggle of Kilmer’s inability to speak after his battle with throat cancer.
According to Amazon, “This raw, wildly original and unflinching documentary reveals a life lived to extremes and a heart-filled, sometimes hilarious look at what it means to be an artist and a complex man.” Val hits theaters on July 23 and Amazon Prime Video on August 6.
