Norfolk Native Goes For Gold at Toyko Olympics this Saturday

Norfolk, VA native Keyshawn Davis is going for gold at the Tokyo Olympics.

The 22-year old fighter will be competing against other athletes from around the world starting Saturday 10pm eastern time.

This marks Davis’ first time representing the U.S., and he has set aside his professional boxing career to achieve his goal of Olympic greatness.

“I did not expect this at all when I went pro,” Davis told The Associated Press, via ESPN. “I was not looking to come back to the amateurs. I was happy with my decision. I was a happy fighter. I could make my own schedule, travel wherever I want, and make good money. But when the Olympics came back to me, it was a no-brainer to go back.”
