Candace Cameron Bure Apologizes for ‘Weird’ and ‘Seductive’ TikTok Video

Candace Cameron Bure apologized Wednesday (July 28th) for posting a TikTok video in which she appeared to be singing seductively to a Bible.

In the video, the star was seen lip-syncing to the Lana Del Rey tune “Jealous Girl,” while grabbing a Bible as she mouths some of the song’s lyrics: “You don’t wanna dance with me, dance with me / Honey, I’m in love with you.”

Bure said she was inspired to make the video after her daughter, Natasha Bure, posted a similar video on her TikTok; she said she wanted to do a Biblical version that conveyed “nothing can trump the Holy Spirit.

Fans criticized the video calling it “weird” and “seductive.”

In an Instagram Story, the Fuller House star explained that her intentions were entirely misunderstood, saying, “So many of you thought that I was trying to be seductive, which clearly means that I’m not a very good actress because I was trying to be strong, not sexy or seductive.”

Bure deleted the video from Instagram but left it up on TikTok.
