An anonymous “Jill” wrote in because she has a hard time accepting the bad table manners displayed by her in-laws. She’s been able to handle Sunday dinners at home, but now they want to start going back out, and Jill has legitimate fear of their terrible manners in public. She wondered if there’s a way to keep getting out of this, or maybe teach them some manners?
Callers and commenters leaned a little more towards informing the in-laws of their manners, BUT do it through your husband, not yourself. Dan had the funny suggestion of bringing one of those face shields for any rogue pieces of food flying out of their mouths.
