Peacock has ordered a limited series based on Field of Dreams, the 1989 blockbuster film starring Kevin Costner.
Deadline reports that the new series will reimagine the mixture of family, baseball, Iowa and magic that makes the movie so enduring and beloved. Peacock will work with Michael Schur, the film’s producer Lawrence Gordon and Universal TV, on the reboot.
The MLB’s recent Field of Dreams game between the New York Yankees and Chicago White Sox was the most watched regular season baseball game in 16 years.
