Newly named Jeopardy! host Mike Richards is stepping down amid accusations of past offensive comments.
According to USA TODAY, Richards said in a letter that he was “stepping down as host effective immediately.” He also noted that “as a result, we will be canceling production today.”
The letter also stated that Sony Pictures Television will resume its search for a permanent syndicated host and will bringing back guest hosts in the meantime.
