Blake Lively celebrated her birthday on August 25th and her husband took to Instagram…to ignore it.
Ryan Reynolds and Lively has made it a tradition to troll each other on social media and this year he enlisted Mariah Carey for his prank.
It takes some explanation though…According to Marie Claire, Ryan shared a video on TikTok in which he lip syncs to Carey’s song “Fantasy” to promote his movie Free Guy. Carey then dueted this TikTok, side-eyeing the actor when he starts to do some questionable dance moves. Then, Carey reposted her TikTok duet to Instagram, on Lively’s birthday.
Carey wrote, “That wasn’t part of the plan, @vancityreynolds!!! 😂❤️”

Well, Ryan shared a screenshot of the interaction saying, “My favorite thing that’s ever happened on August 25th” while completely ignoring his wife’s birthday.
It’s all in good fun though, and we can’t wait to see how Blake responds.
