Britney Spears’ Instagram Page Is Deactivated…Here’s Why

Britney Spears Instagram was deactivated on Tuesday (September 14) after posting about her conservatorship.

In the now-deleted post, Britney shared an article titled “Infusing education with heart” and then wrote:

“Growing up in a world where basically almost everything I did was controlled by someone else… I hope this message gets to people who have been confused or manipulated by a system !!!!” Spears wrote in her caption alongside a screenshot of the article. “No … you’re not alone and no … you’re not crazy !!!! People need to hear this before it’s TOO LATE !!!! I’ve waited 13 years and counting for my freedom !!!!!”

She also thanked the #FreeBritney team for its support.

Fans began to worry about the pop star after noticing her account was deactivated but Britney reassured everyone on Twitter later saying, “Don’t worry folks … just taking a little break from social media to celebrate my engagement 💍😉 !!!! I’ll be back soon”

Spears’ attorney, Mathew Rosengart, confirmed to Page Six that it was his client’s choice to deactivate her account.
