Virginia Firefighters Dress as Superheroes To Rappel Down Children’s Hospital {PICS}


Young patients at the Inova Children’s Hospital in Falls Church got a SUPER surprise on Tuesday.  Members of the Fairfax County Fire and Rescue dressed up as superheroes and rappelled down the side of the hospital.

Dressed as Captain America, Superman, Supergirl and Spider-Man, the first responders also shared a message of inspiration “Believe in Yourself.”

The moment that was captured in photos and shared by ABC affiliate WJLA who report that the firefighters also played games with the children using dry-erase markers on the windows.

“The kids were thrilled when they got to look out their windows and see superheroes coming to say hi,” Jamie Gentille, the director of Child Life Services at Inova hospital, told WJLA. “During COVID they haven’t gotten any special visitors inside.”
