If you or someone you know lives in Virginia Beach and is searching for a new job, the Virginia Beach Public Library has free resources available to help.

  • Adult Learning Center: Part of the Virginia Beach City Public Schools, offering fee-based computer classes ranging from keyboarding basics to web page design.

  • Virginia Career Works: A One-Stop Career Center or One-Stop Workforce Center where a wide range of free employment, training, and career education program services are available to employers, workers, job seekers, and youth.

  • Tidewater Community College Workforce Development: Offering fee-based programs on a range of career tracks including information technology topics.

Career Coaching

The Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library offers Job Coach volunteers who can assist with resume help, online job applications or other aspects of your job search. Call the library at 385-0150 to make an appointment.
