The 2022 Patriotic Festival has a new location.  The festival, which is usually held at the Virginia Beach oceanfront, is set to move to Norfolk’s Town Point Park and Norfolk Scope Arena.

The festival will feature concerts from national touring artists, as well as military and corporate displays.

In a press conference on Monday, Oct. 18th, Festival President Ira Agricola and Norfolk Mayor Kenny Alexander confirmed the news saying the move was necessary in order to secure an indoor venue in case of weather cancellations.

The festival is looking to pay up to $2 million for artists, and organizers say insurance for cancellations has gone up due to the pandemic.

Agricola added Pharrell Williams’ recent decision to pull Something in the Water from Virginia Beach had nothing to do with the Patriotic Festival’s decision.
