Tina Turner Inducted Into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame as Keith Urban, Christina Aguilera and More Pay Tribute [VIDEOS]

Tina Turner was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame over the weekend.

Christina Aguilera, Keith Urban and H.E.R. were among the artists who paid tribute.

Actress Angela Bassett, who portrayed Tina in the 1993 bio-pic What’s Love Got to Do With It, spoke of the iconic singer saying, “Let us remember that Tina is already a member of the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame for her earlier work with Ike Turner. But what brings us here tonight is Tina’s journey to independence. For Tina, hope triumphed over hate, faith over fear and ambition eclipsed adversity.”

Tina, who lives in Switzerland, did not attend, but taped her acceptance speech saying she must be doing something right at the age of 81 to receive such an award.

Tina was then saluted with a musical tribute by H.E.R. and Keith Urban, in place of Bryan Adams, doing “It’s Only Love.” Adams, who originally did the song with Tina, had to cancel as he contracted COVID.
