Dolly Parton Offers Free Tuition and Books For Dollywood Employees

Dolly Parton is just good people.

The country music icon’s Dollywood Parks & Resorts has announced it will pay all tuition costs, fees, and books for employees who pursue higher education. It includes all part-time, full-time, and seasonal employees from day one on the job.

The pilot program, GROW U, is set to launch on February 24 for all seasonal, part-time and full-time employees.

According to WATE-TV, employees will have access to diploma, degree and certificate programs across 30 learning partners. Programs will be offered in business administration and leadership, culinary, finance, technology, and marketing. Additionally, the company will provide partial funding, up to $5,250/year, for 150 additional programs in fields including hospitality, engineering, human resources and art design.

Dolly is no stranger to giving back.  Her Dollywood Foundation gives away over $1 million a year in donations to local groups in Tennessee. Through her Imagination Library, she provides children with free, high-quality books every month. And Dolly herself gave $1 million to Vanderbilt University Medical Center to fund the development of the Moderna vaccine.
