Why Fans Think Camila Cabello’s ‘Bam Bam’ Is About Shawn Mendes

Camila Cabello’s new single “Bam Bam” with Ed Sheeran is set to drop this Friday and Camila fans are convinced the track is about Shawn Mendes.

She teased a clip of the song on TikTok this weekend and users were quick to notice that some of the lyrics appear to reference her famous ex.

In the first lyric, Camila sings, “You said you hated the ocean but you’re surfin’ now” and as one TikTok user commented, “HE LITERALLY POSTED SURFING PHOTOS WHEN THEY BROKE UP 😭”

The second line says, “I said I’d love you for life but I just sold our house” and yes, according E!, Camila sold her Los Angeles home in December for $4.3 million.

And if that’s not enough, Camila sings in the clip, “We were kids at the start, I guess we’re grown ups now.”  Fans know that Shawn and Camila toured together back in 2014 and released their first duet the following year.

Fans pointed out the comparisons in the comments and showed their support for the “Havana” singer.

TikTok user @bebrav2 wrote, “This song basically says “things falls apart now im going to get back up and dance” and I’m here for it.”

Listen and let us know what you think.
