7-Year-Old Girl Goes Viral on TikTok After Chugging First Communion Wine

A seven-year-old South Dakota girl has gone viral for a video showing her chugging the entire chalice of wine at her first communion.

Stefanie Heidebrink shared the video of her daughter Brynley’s first communion on April 23rd in Brandon, South Dakota.

In the video, Brynley takes the chalice with the consecrated wine representing the blood of Christ and begins sipping. The sip turns into a drink and finally, into a full-on chug.

Stefanie shared the video on TikTok where it quickly went viral with more than 15 million views.

She says her daughter was nervous before going up and kept asking how much she should drink, and she advised her “Just let it touch your lips, just tip it back. You don’t even have to take a sip.”

In the moment though, her nerves got to her and she kept drinking. Stefanie says asked her daughter ‘Well, why did you keep drinking?’ And she’s like, ‘I don’t know.’ I’m like, ‘Well, did you like the taste?’ And she goes, ‘No.'”

The congregation got a good laugh out of it though and Stefanie told USA Today, “She was pretty flushed at dinner, I will say that. A little bit more talkative than normal, but she obviously ate her spaghetti and she slept really good that night.”
