Mandy Moore Reacts to “This is US” Emmy Snub

Nominees for the 2022 Emmy Awards were announced on Tuesday.  “Succession,” “Ted Lasso,” and “White Lotus” lead the nominees but the popular NBC drama “This Is Us” earned only one nomination.

A song featured in the show’s final season, “The Forever Now,” was nominated for Outstanding Original Music and Lyrics.

The Pearson family drama ended its six-year run in May and the farewell season showcased heartwrenching moments with actress Mandy Moore as Rebecca Pearson.

Moore took to her Instagram stories to share her thoughts on the Emmy snub.

“So unendingly proud of @siddkhoslamusic and @taylordawesgoldsmith for getting an Emmy nom for their song ‘Forever Now’ on our final season of #ThisIsUs,” she wrote. “Do I wish our show was recognized in what I think was [its] finest hour? Sure.”

The actress thanked Dan Fogleman for his “brilliant writing for 6 seasons” and executive producer Ken Olin‘s “impeccable direction” before thanking the “wildly talented cast and crew.”

“Yah … but nothing can take away what our show meant to SO MANY (us included). That’s an incredible legacy to be a part of. I will be grateful forever,” she concluded.
