The Virginia Beach Parks and Recreation has partnered with Eastern Virginia Mountain Biking Association (EVMA) to develop the first-ever formal mountain biking trail system in Virginia Beach at Marshview Park.

The new trails are located at Marshview Park, which is just two miles from the Virginia Beach Oceanfront.

The park is already home to 100 acres of wooded property on Lake Rudee which includes dog parks, parking lots, asphalt trails, playgrounds, and more.

The new project will enhance 4-5 miles of multi-use soft trails featuring varying lengths and skill levels along with trailhead maps, wayfinding signage, and mile markers to ensure safety for all visitors.

A representative told WAVY-TV 10 that they are just a couple of months away from completing the bike trails, which will labeled based on difficulty.
