McDonald’s Brings Back Menu Item After More Than 30 Years

McDonald’s is adding a “breakfast or afternoon treat” to its McCafe Bakery items, a cheese danish.

The fast food chain first offered the Cheese Danish more than 30 years ago and it will join other popular menu items including the Apple Fritter, Blueberry Muffin, and Cinnamon Roll.

McDonald’s says the flaky pastry is “filled with sweet cream cheese and topped with a buttery streusel and light vanilla drizzle” and is a “fresh take” on a similar pastry offered in the ’80s.

The cheese Danish will be available at select locations for a limited time starting September 14th.
