Chesapeake

Hickory Ridge Farm Festival: September 17-23, 2022: Mon.-Fri, 9-6 Saturday and Sunday 10-6. September 24 – October 31, 2022: Mon-Fri 9-7, Saturday and Sunday 10-7m. Franklin:

Franklin-Southampton County Fairgrounds: Mayhem and Mischief at the Fairgrounds takes place Oct. 27- Oct. 31. Take a hayride through the haunted Franklin Fairgrounds and a walk through the haunted barn! Get all your fall favorite treats at the end of your ride!! Old Towne Portsmouth Ghost Walk: Tours begin and end at the Ghost Walk Marketplace in front of Trinity Episcopal Church, 500 Court Street, Portsmouth, VA, at the intersection of High Street & Court Streets in downtown Portsmouth. At each haunted house visitors hear costumed actors retell the legends of ghostly visitations and things that go bump in the night!

Smithfield:

Friday Night Frights at the Cnter: Suffolk Center for the Arts, 110 W Finney Ave, Suffolk VA. The Suffolk Division of Tourism presents a series of classic horror films at the Suffolk Center for Cultural Arts. No children under 17 will be admitted on October 14 & 21. No children under 13 will be admitted on October 28.


Surry:

Hunt Club Farm: At Hunt Club Farm’s Harvest Fair, kids can jump into a HUGE straw pile, ride a pony, take a hayride, enjoy the carnival rides, and listen to DJ music on the weekends.

‘Ghosts of Thoroughgood Past’ Paranormal Tours: Virginia Beach History Museums invites you to take a paranormal tour of the historic Thoroughgood House by candlelight this October.  Tours will run every 30 minutes from 6-9 p.m. on Oct. 20-23 and Oct 27-30. Tickets are $15 for adults and children 10+, $7 for children under 10, and can be purchased online in advance or at the door.
