Madonna paid tribute to her late brother, Anthony Ciccone, following his death last week.

The Material Girl wrote on her Instagram story Monday (February 27th), “Thank you for blowing my mind as a girl and introducing me to [jazz musicians] Charlie Parker [and] Miles Davis.”

She continued to add other things her older brother exposed her to including religions like Buddhism and Taoism and writers Charles Bukowski, Richard Brautigan and Jack Kerouac.

According to an Instagram post from Madonna’s brother-in-law, Joe Henry, Ciccone died Friday (February 24th) at the age of 66.  The cause of death is unknown.
