The Weeknd just landed his first starring role in a movie. The singer wrote the film and will serve as a producer as well.
Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the script was apparently so good that he landed Jenna Ortega from “Wednesday” and Barry Keoghan from “The Banshees of Inisherin” as co-stars.
The Weeknd made his acting debut in 2019’s “Uncut Gems” and he stars in the upcoming HBO series “The Idol”.
