Chris Christie and his rescue dog, Kyli are on a mission!  They are walking roughly 1,100 miles from North Caroline to Maine to support local animal rescues along the way.

Christie kicked off his “Character Walk 2023” at Caring Hearts for Canines in Aberdeen, NC, and will conclude at PAWS in Camden, Me, his hometown.

The pair made a stop this week in Virginia Beach so Kyli, a seven-year-old schnauser/terrier/bulldog mix could rest and resent.  The pair will soon head off to the East Coast Greenway and continue their journey.

“My animal rescues that I’ve had over the course of my life have absolutely saved my life multiple times,” he said. “And I said, ‘You know what? I need to give back because these people do amazing work,’ ” Christie shared.

100 percent of the money raised through sponsorships and donations from Christie and Kyli’s trek will be split evenly among the seven rescues Christie partners with.
