Alanis Morissette and Ed Sheeran are taking over American Idol on Sunday.
The duo will take Katy Perry and Lionel Richie’s spots on the judging panel for the upcoming episode, as Katy and Lionel will be performing at King Charles the Third’s Coronation Concert in England.
In addition to their judging duties, Alanis will also serve as a mentor for the remaining contestants. Contestants will be performing her songs this week, as well as duets of Ed’s music. There will also be performances from Alanis and Ed on the “Idol” stage.
Interestingly, Ed Sheeran was previously invited to perform at the Coronation Concert but had to decline due to tour conflicts. He has a concert scheduled in Texas on Saturday.
