Coldplay’s ‘Music of the Spheres World Tour’ Gives Back; Plants 5 Million Trees: “A Good Start”

Coldplay announced before their Music of the Spheres world tour, that they had some very ambitious environmental goals and so far they’ve been responsible for the planting of 5 million trees. On top of that they are about to hit their goal of 50% carbon reduction from their previous tour.

In a press statement the band said, while the numbers are a “good start… and something that their crew should be very proud of, “there is definitely still room for improvement.“

They went on to explain that they now run the entire show… audio, lights, lasers, etc. from an electric battery system that allows them to use 100% renewable energy as efficiently as possible.
