Pink Fan Goes Into Labor at Concert, Walks to Hospital and Names Baby After the Singer

A new little fan has emerged with an extraordinary birth story after a pregnant concertgoer went into labor at Pink’s recent show in Boston.

Angela Mercer, her sister-in-law Amy, and her mom Barbara traveled from Albany, NY last week to see Pink perform at Fenway Park, according to a Facebook post.

The family members were on a girls’ trip and Angela was 31 weeks pregnant at the time.  Angela hadn’t been expecting her son’s arrival quite yet, but she started having contractions shortly after arriving for the show. She called her doctor, who advised her to get to a hospital.

Unfortunately, Angela had trouble finding a ride to the hospital due to concert traffic so she and her companions walked to the nearby hospital in their concert attire.  Upon arrival, she delivered a baby boy!

“My husband Ace and I are so incredibly grateful to the exceptional team at Brigham and Women’s Hospital! The medical, case management, and social work staff guided us confidently with their knowledge and expertise, all while being personable, empathetic, and engaging. We are sincerely appreciative,” Angela shared.

The couple named their son Aycen Hart, a nod to the singer and her family. Pink, who was born Alecia Beth Moore, legally shares her husband Carey Hart’s last name.
