National Dog Day is on Saturday. So to get ready for the occasion, dog dad Chris Evans made a surprise visit to a shelter in New York City called Animal Haven to promote adoption.
“There are literally thousands of dogs waiting to be adopted all across the country, just like my dog Dodger,” the actor shared in a promotional video for the dog treat brand Jinx.
Chris gave the shelter dogs lots of treats along with some belly rubs.

For National Dog Day, Jinx is increasing their give-back donations to 5% on online orders through the end of the month.
Those who adopt a dog from Animal Haven by the end of the month will receive a full year of food and treats from Jinx.
