I visited Beyond Van Gogh at the Virginia Beach Convention Center recently and it was a one-of-a-kind experience!
While other shows use virtual reality or still images, this show incorporates both still and moving art. Over 300 pieces of art by Van Gogh are projected on every surface around you, so you really feel as though you have stepped directly into a Van Gogh painting!
You can sit and relax while the images swirl and change around you. It’s truly mesmerizing!
I loved walking through the first part of the exhibit where you can read more about Van Gogh’s life and get to know him better through his letters to his brother, Theo.
It painted a portrait (pun intended) of how he became the artist that we know and love today.
