Is Dua Lipa finally releasing her long-awaited second album?
On Monday, the singer deleted all her Instagram posts and changed her profile photo to a kaleidoscopic image of her eye, leaving fans guessing that the album is coming soon.
In an interview with New York Times Magazine in August, the singer revealed that the album will be released in 2024. “The album is different – it’s still pop but it’s different sonically, and there’s more of a lyrical theme,” she said. “If I told you the title, everything would make sense – but I think we’ll just have to wait.”
She added that while she doesn’t want to “alienate” fans, her new sound moves away from disco and embraces “1970s-era psychedelia.”
